In-network savings based on MetLife data. Negotiated fees refer to the fees that in-network dentists have agreed to accept as payment in full for certain services, subject to any co-payments, deductibles, cost sharing and benefits maximums. Negotiated fees are subject to change. Negotiated fees do not apply to non-covered services in states that prohibit limitations for services not covered under a plan. Participating providers in these states may charge their non-negotiated fees for non-covered services.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible for ASME dental coverage?

All ASME members are eligible, with options to include your spouse and children up to age 26.

Do I have to change my dentist?

Probably not. Most members can keep their current dentist, thanks to our large national network, however it would depend if your dentist participates with the network. Our recommendation is to always check!

Can I combine dental and vision coverage?

Yes. You can enroll in both with a single application and enrollment fee.

When does coverage begin?

Your benefits start on the effective date after enrollment and first payment.

Is there a waiting period?

No waiting period for preventive care; you’re covered immediately.

What if I live in a state where the plan isn’t offered?

Dental coverage is available in most states. Just check your eligibility during enrollment to confirm.

Dental policies are not available in all states. These states include, but are not limited to Idaho, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Montana, Texas, Washington, Alaska, New Hampshire, Oregon, South Dakota. Availability is subject to state regulations.

Reimbursement percentages are based on the maximum plan allowance charges for services in your geographic area. All services are subject to limitations and exclusions. The master policy is governed by the laws of the state of IL.
